Pubmed

Do you use Pubmed? It is password free and offers over 30 million citations covering the topics of  biomedicine and health as well as related disciplines such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering.

Changes are ahead for Pubmed in 2020 to improve search functionality eg better British/American translations.

If you have an account set up with Pubmed be reassured – everything related to MyNCBI account stays – My search filters, saved searches, search alerts will be carried over.

Single citation matcher will continue – this is helpful to track down an incomplete reference – the library staff love it!

The Advanced function offers a search building function where you can link topics together. Alternatively use the main search option to type in your topic – the advanced search can be applied to view what terms you have used and then you can combine terms as you prefer.

If you would like to learn more contact librarians for advice or take a look at the help topics.
