Update December 2017: all the art work and furniture delivery has happened so if you have not been to East Surrey Hospital Library recently do pop in and see the new layout.
Some changes to our décor and study area are ahead so if you use the East Surrey library for studying/computers please note these dates:
Friday 24th November – Library closed during the morning (until 12.00) to enable the library staff to move book stock and furniture. Staff who have 24 hour access fobs can use the library but please be aware there will be disruption.
Saturday 25th-Sunday 26th November: Commissioned Art work will be underway in the study area, near Leisure Reading zone and near computers by windows. The computer room will be unaffected but there will be an artist at work.
Wednesday 29th November 8.30am – New furniture is arriving! Study area will be unavailable whilst this is going on. There will be disruption..
These changes are being made to create a better study environment and make staff aware that it is not appropriate to have group discussions/appraisals/1-2-1s etc, as this disturbs people who are trying to study. Noise was flagged as a concern in our recent library survey so we want to encourage students and staff to respect the study area environment.
